87/415 Rate Displays
The 87/415 Rate Display is the most powerful of our large digital rate displays. Standard features include your choice of 4", 6", 8" and 12" tall numeric digits in a 7-segment formation and features a set of 2 inputs (jumper selectable sink or source) plus a reset. Display rate per hour, minute or second, scaled to any units you desire. Built in smoothing options provide a stable yet responsive rate display. A switch input can be used to toggle the display between rate and total count, and limits can be set to trigger at any pre-determined rate values. You can even select automatic display of down time if the rate falls to zero! DIP switches allow the user to select from one of many popular pre-programmed modes of operation. Advanced modes of operation are possible using our FREE Display-Pro® 4 Windows® programming utility for the 87 Series units. The list below defines some of the operational characteristics that can be programmed by a PC using our Display-Pro® 4 Windows® programming utility. Contact for specifics at info@digital-displays.com

  • Color Changes - Display changes color in a tricolor display when a process variable such as rate reaches a preset value or as the display scrolls through a sequence of display items.
  • Virtual Displays - Enables a single unit to display up to 4 process variables on the same display through scrolling or by splitting the display into multiple fields.
  • Define Range Restrictions - Define the minimum and maximum allowable display value and take action if a limit is reached such as stop, flash the display value or flash a predefined string.
  • Define an Address - An address is defined for networking applications.
  • Define Inputs - Define an active level for each individual input and debounce time.
  • Preset and Trigger - Unit takes special action if a preset value is reached such as activating an optional relay, flashing the display value, reloading a predefined "initial value", stop, change color for tricolor displays, and/or transmit a predefined string.

77 Series Rate Displays
The 77 Series is the most economical of our large digital rate displays. Standard units feature 3.3" tall digits in a 7-segment formation and include sinking type inputs (sourcing optional) for rate function and reset. A regulated output voltage of 12 VDC is provided for auxiliary use (optional 5VDC replaces 12VDC).

77/415 Rate Displays
The 77/415 Rate Monitor displays rate in counts per minute (per second or per hour optional) on a 2 to 6 digit display field. The 77/415 averages the input, calculates the rate and updates the display approximately once per second. Updating the display in this manner results in accurate, stable readings. Standard sinking inputs accept both TTL and open collector outputs. Input filtering is field selectable for high or low input rates. Absence of an input signal for 6 seconds will zero the display. The 77/415 can be equipped with an optional scale factor of 0.0001 to 9999, settable via internal DIP switches. The displayed value is the product of the scale factor and the rate. Both update time and time to zero are factory set and may be optionally optimized for the application. Contact for specifics at info@digital-displays.com.
